OnTrack Accounting & Bookkeeping is a small accounting firm with offices in Mississauga and Oakville. We have recently opened our doors for volunteers to gain practical experience in the Accounting & Bookkeeping field in Mississauga. Candidates should have a background in accounting and are willing to dedicate their time and effort to have the hands on experience. Full Time employment opportunities are available immediately for the right candidate.

1- Morning hours from 09:00 – 05:00
2- Mandarin and Cantonese as a second languages are a definite asset.
3- No previous experience is required
4- Accounting / administration background is required
5- This is a volunteer position with a minimal travel allowance
6- Requiring a 3 month commitment.
7- For the right candidate there will be an opportunity at the end of the volunteer term to join the firm full-time as a staff accountant.
8- Full Time employment opportunities are available immediately for the right candidate.

Staff Accountant / Tax Accountant

Job Summary

We are a full service accounting firm with offices in Mississauga and Oakville, we specialize in dealing with small and medium size businesses providing them with services such as Corporate and Personal Income Taxes, Bookkeeping, Payroll, HST and Consulting. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our firm and grow with it. Due to our diverse clientele base, a second language is highly desirable such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Polish, Ukrainian or Russian. We are committed to providing superior and reliable services to all our clients to help them with all their accounting, taxation and business needs

Responsibilities and Duties

Full cycle bookkeeping including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, payroll, HST, and preparing financial statements Preparation of personal income tax returns and corporate tax returns Working with QuickBooks accounting software Preparation of financial statements• File HST returns. File T1 and T2 income tax returns

Qualifications and Skills

Strong knowledge of accounting basics Microsoft Office skills including Word and Outlook; intermediate knowledge of Excel Should have excellent organizational skills, communication skills and leadership qualities Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams Strong work ethic and ability to work in an environment requiring discretion and confidentiality Strong Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software is an asset Knowledge of QuickBooks and Profile Software is an asset
